Seasonal Summer Positions Available

Seasonal Summer Parks Laborer

The Oregon Park District is accepting applications for a summer season Parks Laborer. Position requires approximately 40 hours weekly during the summer season, approximately June 1st through August 31st.  The position will be responsible for light maintenance, mowing and general cleaning.  Experience operating small equipment and a valid Illinois State Driver’s License is required.  Must be 16 or older and able to perform light maintenance.

Seasonal Weekend Parks Laborer

The Oregon Park District is accepting applications for a summer season Parks Laborer. Position requires approximately 15-20 hours weekly during the summer season, approximately June 1st through August 31st.  The position will be responsible for weekend cleaning of parks.  Experience operating small equipment and a valid Illinois State Driver’s License is required.  Must be 16 or older and able to perform light maintenance.

Seasonal Summer Parks Waterer

The Oregon Park District is accepting applications for a summer season Parks Waterer. Position requires approximately 20-30 hours weekly during the summer season, approximately June 1st through August 31st.  Position will be responsible for watering of District flowers and trees during the growing season.  Experience operating small equipment and a valid Illinois State Driver’s License is required.  Must be 16 or older and able to perform light maintenance.

Lifeguards – Part-time

Water Safety Group LLC is now hiring lifeguards for the pool at the Nash Recreation Center.  Hours are available before school, after school and/or weekends.  A high level customer service skills and safety knowledge are required.  Please contact Nick at Catch the Wave, 815-713-4481, for more information. Building Supervisor/Custodial – Part-time

The Oregon Park District is accepting applications for a part time Building Supervisor/Custodial position. Positions have varying hours and are flexible.  Please call for more information.  Essential responsibilities would be janitorial work at the Nash Recreation Center as well as monitoring the building.  Further questions can be directed to Matthew Downing, Deputy Supt. of Facilities at matthew@oregonpark.org.

Extended Time Instructor – Part-time

The Oregon Park District is accepting applications for part-time after school Instructors for our Extended Time program and Summer Day Camp Program. Position requires approximately 8-13.5 hours weekly during after-school hours from 3-5:30 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 2-5:30 on Wednesdays throughout the  Oregon school year and between 15 and 40 hours a week during the summer season from 7:30-5:30.   A high level of customer service skills, energy and experience with children is required.
