Memorial Programs

Sponsored by the Oregon Park District, the Memorial Bench and Tree Program allows groups and individuals to donate trees or benches to commemorate special events, honor individuals or agencies, or as memorials to loved ones to be placed in park district parks.  The criteria for tree and bench styles is based on park design, function, aesthetics, and maintenance.  There are two benches and ten different trees available for memorials.  Costs for the memorial benches and trees vary.  For more information, please contact Andy Egyed, Superintendent of Parks, at 815-732-3101 or andy@oregonpark.org.

NEW – Memorial Brick

The Oregon Park District invites you to honor a loved one or commemorate a special occasion with a permanent engraved brick paver.  Thanks to a generous donation from the Ingraham family in 2015, the ‘The Reading Nook’ has been designed as a dedicated space for patrons of all ages to enjoy the many facets of recreation.  The brick pavers will be available for purchase in the spring of 2019 and will be installed to create a walkway from the existing pergola to the future play space geared towards children ages 2-5.  More information on this new memorial program will be coming soon!
