Extended Time

ET Overview

Extended Time is our after school program that is paired with the OCUSD calendar.  Our staff engages students in both recreational and educational activities that encourage teamwork, self-confidence, and fun.  The program is conveniently located at Oregon Elementary School.  The  daily afternoon schedule includes time for snack, homework, themed projects, as well as physical activity.  Students in grades K-6th can attend.  Contact Kelley Huston at 815-732-3101 or kelley@oregonpark.org with any questions.

Registration

Registration for the 2023-24 School Year is open!  Registration can be completed over the phone (815) 732-3101 or online.  Registration for a student’s month of attendance must be completed by the 25th of the month prior.*  To offer parent’s a flexible schedule, parents will select each day within the month that their child will be attending.  Payment is required at the time of registration.

Program FAQ’S – Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the Extended Time registration procedures?

Q: What are the program fees?
A: After School (3:00 pm-5:30 pm): $8/day per student*

*Wednesdays are scheduled OCUSD early dismissals, and the Extended Time program will run 2:00-5:30 pm.  Wednesday’s After School fee will be $11/day per student due to the extended program time. 

Q: What if I miss the deadline for my student?
A: The deadline for a student’s attendance is the 25th of the month prior.  A late fee will be applied to any registrations completed after the 25th and no registrations will be accepted after the 1st of the month.  All registrations completed after the registration deadline must be completed over the phone. 

Q: What are the late fees?
A: After School: $2/day per student

Late fees will be capped at $20 per child.  The primary goal of the late fee is to minimize late registrations to assist with improved planning for the students and our staff.   

Q: Is there a sibling discount?
A: No, the sibling discount is not offered for the Extended Time program.

Q: What if my child cannot attend a day they are registered?
A: If a child(s) is unable to attend the Extended Time program for a day they are registered, please notify Kelley at kelley@oregonpark.org. Refunds will not be issued for individual missed days.

Q: Can I transfer days within the same month of attendance?
A: If your child(s) is not registered for the complete month and you wish to switch days, you must notify Kelley Huston at kelley@oregonpark.org.  Approval is subject to availability, and there may be additional fees charged if a child is being transferred to a Wednesday. 

Q: Will I receive a refund if my child can no longer attend Extended Time?
A: To withdraw a child from a week of Extended Time, a refund request must be submitted online at https://oregonpark.org/refund-request/.  A full refund, less the $5 administrative fee, will be granted if the application for refund is filed by the 25th of the month prior, also known as the Extended Time registration deadline.  Refunds will not be granted after the 25th of the month prior unless due to a medical note or emergency.  All refunds are subject to the program coordinator’s approval.  A full refund will be issued if the Park District cancels a scheduled day.
