Children’s Center Preschool Teacher
The Oregon Park District is seeking a preschool teacher, Early Childhood degree preferred, to lead the Children’s Center preschool program in Oregon, IL. Responsibilities include planning and implementing daily lesson plans, parent communication, student assessment, use of technology in the classroom and creating a positive learning environment. This is a full-time salaried position. Salary range is $36,000-$40,000 (DOQ). District benefits include 2 weeks paid vacation, 12 paid holidays, 10 paid sick days, 6 paid personal days, health insurance and IMRF pension. Tentative start date is July 2018.

Farmers Market Supervisor
The Oregon Farmers Market is a community market, supported by the Oregon Park District, local growers, artists and bakers. The 2018 Supervisor will be responsible for the operation of the farmers market on Friday evenings (June-September/3:15 p.m.-7:15 p.m.) on the Courthouse Lawn. Additional responsibilities would include managing vendors, recruiting vendors, assisting with live entertainment & program recruitment, and community relations. Part Time Fitness Coordinator
The Oregon Park District is searching for a Fitness Coordinator to assist the Superintendent of Recreation with developing and facilitating fitness programs, events, fitness staff, and in the operation of the fitness center. Main priorities of this position include the upkeep and oversight of the fitness center–including scheduling and managing of fitness center supervisors, management of fitness classes and personal training sessions. This position requires 20 hours per week. Typical work days will be Monday through Friday with flexible hours. However, a combination of daytime, evening and weekend hours may be required when the need exists. Qualified applicants should possess a minimum of 1 years’ experience in management/fitness. Strong computer skills in Word and Outlook. Excellent oral and written skills, strong organizational and project management skills are essential. Ability to analyze and report on data. Knowledge of Recreation/fitness programs, services, facilities, and customer relations. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with general public and staff. The position’s essential functions include greeting customers, cleaning equipment, completion of reports, providing assistance to patrons and enforcement of facility rules with minimal supervision. Employment hours will vary from week to week and will include days, nights and weekend. Summer Camp Counselor
The Oregon Park District is now accepting applications for part-time camp counselors for our popular Camp Oh Pea Dee for campers K-6 grade. Position requires approximately 20 to 40 hours weekly during the daytime throughout the 13 weeks of summer. A high level customer service skills, energy and experience with children is required. Applications will be accepted up until March 16. Interviews will be scheduled March 19-23. Positions will be offered by April 3.
